Family
& Childrens Center is one of northern Indianas major
non-profit human services agencies. Founded as an orphanage in 1882,
today we serve thousands of children and families throughout the region.
Family & Childrens Center is dedicated to strengthening the emotional and behavioral health of the communities it serves, with special emphasis on the needs of children and families. Family & Childrens Centers
affiliates provide a wide range of important human services, including:
After-school and summer programming through Boys & Girls Clubs of St.
Joseph County
Residential treatment for emotionally disturbed youth
through The Childrens Campus
Individual and group counseling through Family & Childrens
Center Counseling and Development Services
Provide educational programs and presentations to the community and work with groups, agencies and governmental bodies to further the cause of child abuse prevention through Prevent Child Abuse St. Joseph County

Each of the Family & Childrens Center affiliates has its
own specific mission and serves our community in different ways according
